Our campus and facilities are an essential platform for our faculty and administration to bring their academic vision to life for our students. Our campus and facility strategy remains focused on two key elements: it is driven by the school’s needs, as defined by our strategic plan, and the continual maintenance and modernization of our campus, while remaining true to its original design.
Upgrades
We continue to make efforts to upgrade and invest in our facilities to match the incredible programs designed by our faculty and administration, including:
- A brand-new greenhouse, garden shed, and outdoor classroom area, part of an expansion of our environmental sciences program
- New roof and upgraded HVAC system in the Peter Lawrence Gymkhana
- Upgrade of our phone and public announcement system (phase one), to ensure the continued safety and security of our campus community
- Infrastructure and systems updates, including security, electrical, exterior lighting, and landscaping
- Replaced pavers, repaired the wall, and installed planters on our Lydecker landing

Upcoming Projects
Our administration and the Buildings and Grounds Committee are engaged in a continuous evaluation of improvements and current projects for the winter and spring of 2026 and beyond, including audio-visual and Wi-Fi upgrades, as well as the implementation of Phase Two of the public announcement system.
Safety and Security
Emergency response training modules remain an integral part of annual assessments, enabling faculty and staff to receive the necessary training for any emergency.
This academic year, we are participating in the Jobs 4 Blue program, in collaboration with the Englewood Police Department. This program provides EMS with shifts of police presence on campus to enhance security and familiarize police officers with our campus.
Food Service
Our Food Service Committee continues to review program offerings. This is our second year of partnering with local food vendor Blue Akai to provide a high-quality, year-round lunch program to students, faculty, and staff.
Sustainability efforts in lunch packaging remain a key focus of reducing plastics and pre-packaged materials in our lunch packaging.
Transportation
EMS offers traditional bus services to our families, featuring common stops to facilitate shorter travel times for our students.
