Meet EMS alum Misha Theberge ’23, designer of this year’s Adventure Week T-shirts

Stay Mega! It’s the advice of Misha Theberge ’23, a freshman at Saddle River Day School, and the name of his lifestyle clothing brand. With the help of the skills he learned through running his own brand, Theberge designed and produced The Elisabeth Morrow School Adventure Week T-shirts for this year’s Morrow House tradition.

During Adventure Week, from Sept. 13–15, Morrow House students donned his T-shirts as they took on exciting challenges and outdoor adventures, deepened their sense of community and connection, and reflected on their personal and academic goals for the school year.

As a recent graduate of our school, Theberge couldn’t see the first-hand excitement of the students picking up their T-shirts for the first time. Still, when he saw photos of EMS students wearing them, he says, “The best feeling in the world to me is knowing that something I made people are wearing and enjoying.”

As a young entrepreneur, Theberge ensures that his products are affordable but meet his quality standards. He worked with a printer who had previously done jobs for him to make the Adventure Week T-shirts. Once they arrived, Theberge inspected the T-shirts and counted them to confirm he had the correct number of T-shirts ordered.

“The teachers at EMS gave me the confidence to grow my brand by believing in me,” says Theberge, who started Stay Mega during COVID when he realized he could source and design his own T-shirts cheaper than the $40 Supreme T-shirt he wanted to buy, but didn’t want “to spend that on a T-shirt.”

“I started designing and working with print-on-demand companies. Then, after I had my pop-up shop in the summer of 2022, I knew I could make this into something,” Theberge says. “I feel in love with every aspect of running Mega — from inspecting the T-shirt fabrics to creating the designs — all of it.”

EMS prepares students for an impressive range of top-tier secondary schools.

Our students cultivate the ability to learn, think, explore, empathize, and lead. They graduate with the ability, mindset, and competencies to navigate a global world and are well-prepared to face an unknowable future.

Accustomed to a challenging academic environment, EMS students welcome the demands of competitive secondary schools and are often placed in advanced sections where they perform very well.
