Supporting EMS’s Remote Learning

The Apple Tree Fund has been instrumental in supporting remote learning at EMS, which includes new technology and additional remote learning faculty.

“The decision to go remote for our first year at EMS was thoughtfully selected despite some concerns on socialization and too much screen time,” says the Song family. “At the start of the school year, our concerns were immediately alleviated by the attentive faculty members and the robust full-day curriculum that includes teacher lead sessions and learning sessions away from the computer. The Little School remote curriculum parallels the in-person curriculum and maintains the same pace. All the remote teachers do an excellent job of being present, engaged, and supportive. We do not worry that our child is missing anything from learning remotely in all the core and specialist subjects.”

EMS recently created a new position – Remote Learning Coordinator – to continually review and refine our remote track in Morrow House to best serve our remote learners. Patricia “Pat” Barry, our Associate Director of Admissions, will be serving in this capacity.

By having a point person facilitating meaningful conversations and regularly checking in with our remote families and students, we hope to continue to provide our community with the best school experience possible.

These impactful efforts would not be possible without your support toward our Apple Tree Fund!

There's No Better Time to Support Your Child's Education

Every time you donate to one of Elisabeth Morrow's dedicated funds, you help enrich the daily experiences of our community on campus. STEAM spaces are improved, library catalogues expanded, scholarships are funded, and teachers are hired. Every day, you can see the impact your generous donations have on campus.

EMS prepares students for an impressive range of top-tier secondary schools.

Our students cultivate the ability to learn, think, explore, empathize, and lead. They graduate with the ability, mindset, and competencies to navigate a global world and are well-prepared to face an unknowable future.

Accustomed to a challenging academic environment, EMS students welcome the demands of competitive secondary schools and are often placed in advanced sections where they perform very well.

YOUR CHILD WOULD THRIVE AT EMS. SCHEDULE A TIME TO TALK TO SOMEONE ABOUT JOINING OUR COMMUNITY.
