Little School Students Shine in Continental Math League Competition

Little School students clapping for our Math League winners.

Students in The Elisabeth Morrow School’s Little School had a standout year in the Continental Math League (CML), a national problem-solving competition that challenges students in second grade through eighth grade with creative, timed math problems.

This year’s results brought recognition at every level — from within our own community to the regional and national stage.

National and Regional Honors

Two Little School students earned distinguished awards that place them among the top performers in the country. Third grader Ilia P. was named a National Student Winner for third grade — one of the most competitive individual honors CML bestows. Second grader Eddie C. earned the title of Regional Student Winner for second grade, recognizing excellence among competitors across his region.

A Strong Foundation

CML participation at Little School is supported by the Math League Academy, an after-school enrichment program for students in first through fourth grades that prepares young mathematicians for competition through accelerated problem-solving practice. This year, nearly half of the eligible students participated.

Congratulations to all of our Little School mathematicians on a remarkable season! The math excellence doesn’t stop here — read about our middle school students’ achievements in CML and the AMC 8.
