As we close out an exciting fall season, our EMS athletes have demonstrated tremendous growth, resilience, and teamwork across every sport. Here’s a look back at their outstanding accomplishments.

Volleyball

Our volleyball team showed remarkable development this season, strengthening both fundamental and advanced skills, including serving, bumping, setting, and strategic gameplay. Each week, players set goals and pushed themselves to reach them. During games, the team’s communication, support for one another, and consistent effort led to steady improvement, with their tenacity and teamwork evident throughout the season.

Cross Country

Our cross country team enjoyed a highly successful 2025 season. Training took runners throughout Englewood, focusing on endurance, hill work, and core strength. Early-season preparation targeted the Van Cortlandt Park course in the Bronx — always a season highlight. Their hard work paid off: every runner achieved a personal best! Led by dedicated seventh- and eighth-grade students, the team saw dramatic improvements in times and cohesion from start to finish.

Girls Tennis

Our girls tennis team, with seven seventh- and eighth-grade athletes, finished an exceptional season with a 6–2 record. Practices focused on skill development, match strategy, and tactical play, while matches against schools such as Saddle River Day, Montclair Kimberley, Tuxedo Park, and Dwight-Englewood strengthened confidence and teamwork. Players demonstrated perseverance, growth, and outstanding sportsmanship throughout the season.

Soccer

Our soccer team completed a competitive fall season, showing steady improvement, strong teamwork, and resilience. Early practices built a foundation in fundamentals, coordinated attack, disciplined defense, and confident goalkeeping. With contributions from seventh- and eighth-grade players, the Eagles faced challenging opponents, including the undefeated Saddle River Day and Collegiate School, finishing with a 4–6–2 record. Their determination, sportsmanship, and progress laid a strong foundation for future seasons.
