The Elisabeth Morrow School has been selected for inclusion in the National Association of Independent Schools’ (NAIS) publication, Education Innovations from Independent Schools Around the World. Chosen from thousands of global submissions, EMS is recognized for for student-led innovation that bridges applied science, sustainability, and community impact.
The featured initiative, Social Entrepreneurs: Student Leadership Symposium (pages 17–18), grew from a question asked by our fourth graders following a food drive: “What happens after the food runs out?” That spark inspired our student-led farmers market.
Combining applied science with high-impact philanthropy, this student initiative raised more than $3,300 to combat local food insecurity and advance campus sustainability.
