Affinity Group Meeting: A Conversation for All Affinity Group Participants

A Conversation for All Affinity Group Participants:
If you have participated in an affinity group for EMS parents/caregivers, we cordially invite you to a final conversation to wrap up this first year of affinity group programming. Through breakout group conversations and large group dialogue, we will share takeaways from our affinity group experiences and hear insights from others who attended different affinity groups. This highly interactive session will be a great opportunity to come together across lines of difference and learn from one another. This session will be facilitated by Dr. Chap and Jason, our DEI consultants.

Morrow House Musical Theatre Presents “Shrek Jr.”

The Morrow House musical “Shrek Jr.” will be performed at 7 p.m. on Monday, April 4 in the Gymkhana. This is the first year that fifth- through eighth-grade students will perform together in a musical. “Shrek Jr.” follows Shrek, Donkey, Fiona, and more fairytale characters as they try to protect their swamp. In the meantime, Shrek rescues Fiona from her tower and they fall in love…but will their love last? Will Shrek get his swamp back? All EMS families are invited to attend.

Summer String Festival

A DAY FULL OF MUSIC AND FRIENDS
Students are dropped off at EMS — 480 Next Day Hill Drive, Englewood, NJ — with their instruments, music, and lunches.

The morning begins with an all-Festival warm-up at 9 a.m. with students separated by orchestra/Suzuki group.

Students then move into their sectionals based on levels or orchestra rehearsals for group rehearsals.

Throughout the day, students participate in art, theater, sports, dance, and tie dye electives. Students also engage with dynamic guest artists from a variety of backgrounds including national and world orchestras, world renowned soloists and Broadway artists. Two daily snacks are provided.

EMS prepares students for an impressive range of top-tier secondary schools.

Accustomed to a challenging academic environment, EMS students welcome the demands of competitive secondary schools and are often placed in advanced sections where they perform very well. See where our students have been accepted.
